CVS Locations In Atlantic County To Test For Coronavirus

ATLANTIC COUNTY, NJ — CVS will test for the coronavirus at 56 New Jersey locations starting Friday, including a couple locations in Atlantic County. The sites will use self-swab tests as CVS Health expands to 1,000 test sites across the country.

Atlantic County locations will include 440 Union Ave., Brigantine and 900 North New Rd., Pleasantville. Click here for all CVS testing locations in New Jersey.

Patients must register in advance at CVS.com beginning Friday to schedule an appointment. Because of limited supplies, testing is limited to certain patients. But the registration process will show if you qualify.

Individuals must stay in their cars as they're directed to the pharmacy drive-thru window. CVS will provide a test kit with instructions, and a pharmacy employee will observe the self-swab test to ensure it's done properly.

An independent, third-party lab will process the tests, and results will be available in about three days.

State officials have reported 2,120 coronavirus cases and 156 deaths in Atlantic County as of Thursday afternoon. According to county officials, 796 residents have been cleared as recovered as of Wednesday.
