Driver Pleads Guilty In Fatal South Jersey Crash, Child Endangerment Case

MAYS LANDING, NJ — A South Jersey woman admitted to her role in three separate incidents, including a fatal crash and driving drunk with an infant in her car, according to the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office.

Alexia M. Glass, 27, of Mays Landing pleaded guilty Thursday, Sept. 3, 2026, to six indictable offenses and one disorderly persons offense across three separate criminal matters.

The recommended sentence is 15 years in New Jersey State Prison with an 85 percent period of parole ineligibility under the No Early Release Act. Sentencing is scheduled for Dec. 1, 2026.

The first case stemmed from a fatal motor vehicle collision on March 28, 2024, in Hamilton Township involving Yolanda Pacheco, 22 at the time of death, of Mount Holly, and Jenalise Sierra-Valentin, 30, of Egg Harbor City. According to officials, Glass was speeding and under the influence when she crashed into Pacheco’s vehicle, resulting in Pacheco’s death and injury to Sierra-Valentin.

In that case, Glass pleaded guilty to first-degree aggravated manslaughter, second-degree aggravated assault, third-degree joyriding, and fourth-degree criminal mischief. The associated second offense DUI motor vehicle charge will be entered at the time of sentencing, officials said. The case was investigated by the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office Fatal Crash Investigation Unit with cooperation from the New Jersey State Police.

The second case involved an April 22, 2022 incident in Pleasantville. According to authorities, Glass operated a vehicle while intoxicated with her two-month-old child in the back seat. She pleaded guilty to second-degree endangering the welfare of a child and to a disorderly persons offense of DUI with a minor. The first offense DUI motor vehicle ticket will also be entered at sentencing, according to officials. The case was investigated by the Pleasantville Police Department.

The third case arose from a Dec. 2, 2020 eluding incident. According to officials, Glass failed to stop for law enforcement while operating a motor vehicle after receiving a signal to do so. She pleaded guilty to third-degree eluding. That case was investigated by the Hamilton Township Police Department.
