Driver Sought In Hit-And-Run That Killed Teen: Absecon Police
Police need the public's help in identifying the SUV that struck and killed a 17-year-old over the weekend in Absecon.
ABSECON, NJ — Police are seeking the public's assistance in identifying a SUV that apparently struck and killed a 17-year-old pedestrian this past weekend.
On Feb. 17, just after 9 p.m., the teenager was hit in the westbound lane of U.S. Route 30, near the Executive Lodge motel, just east of Turner Avenue, Absecon police said.
The driver didn't stop and fled the scene, and now police have revealed more information about the crash.

The vehicle in question is a white 2015 Jeep Compass SUV, according to police. It bears New Jersey registration: L92PLY and sustained heavy front-end damage.
Investigators urge any individuals who may have information about the whereabouts of the vehicle to come forward.
