Drug Bust Sends Another Galloway Man To Prison: Prosecutor

Robert Gunter, 40, was in Recovery Court at the time police found him and his codefendant Ibin Ingrum in possession of fentanyl, cops said.

GALLOWAY, NJ — A second Galloway resident has been sentenced to prison following a drug bust on a local home in July 2022, the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office said.

Robert Gunter, 40,was sentenced to an aggregate extended term of 10 years in New Jersey State Prison with four years of parole ineligibility after pleading guilty to second-degree possession of fentanyl with intent to distribute on Dec. 4, authorities said.

His sentencing follows that of his codefendant, Ibin Ingrum, 19. He was previously sentenced to an aggregate sentence of seven years with 42 months of parole ineligibility in New Jersey State Prison on charges of possession of fentanyl with intent to distribute and unlawful possession of a handgun, officials said.

Gunter was enrolled in Recovery Court at the time he possessed the fentanyl with the intent to distribute it, and the State successfully opposed his application to re-enroll in Recovery Court rather than serve a State Prison sentence, authorities said.

Gunter and Ingrum were convicted following a search warrant executed on a Galloway home in July 2022, officials said.

In an upstairs bedroom of the residence, police found a safe which contained a mixture of over three ounces of fluorofentanyl, despropionyl fluorofentanyl, fluorophenethyl 4-ANPP, and xylazine. Additionally, inside the safe the police located 10 wax folds packaged for sale which contained a mixture of fluorofentanyl, fentanyl, phenethyl 4-ANPP, and xylazine; a baggie containing approximately one ounce of methamphetamine; two digital scales; and documents with Ingrum and Gunter's names on them, officials said.

In the upstairs and attic area of the residence, police located two handguns, ammunition, and extended capacity magazines, authorities said.
