DWI Charges For Galloway Woman Who Caused Accident: Police

The woman knocked over a traffic signal and one person was hospitalized in the accident.

GALLOWAY TOWNSHIP, NJ β€” A Galloway Township woman has been charged with DWI after police say she caused an accident that knocked over a traffic signal and sent one woman to the hospital Sunday evening.
Brooke Rollman, 36, is charged with driving while intoxicated (DWI), assault by auto, and numerous motor vehicle violations, according to the Galloway Township Police Department.

Officers were investigating a minor accident in the parking lot of Shoprite, when they heard several loud bangs coming from the intersection of Pitney Road and East Jimmie Leeds Road at about 5:17 p.m. The bangs were the result of an accident.

Further investigation revealed that Rollman rear-ended a 2006 Mercedes Benz 350 being driven by 55-year-old Beverly Fineran, of Galloway Township, police said. Fineran was stopped at a traffic signal when she was rear-ended by Rollman’s 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee.

Police say the collision pushed Fineran’s car across the intersection and onto the sidewalk on the other side of the road. Rollman’s car crashed into the traffic signal and knocked it to the ground.

Fineran was transported to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center City Division to be treated for several injuries, and both cars were towed from the scene.
