Egg Harbor Car Crash Kills Pedestrian, Hurls Her 75 Feet: Police
Woman thrown 75 feet on impact, driver charged with operating a vehicle while suspended, police say.

A pedestrian was thrown 75 feet and killed in a car crash in Egg Harbor on Sunday night, police said. The driver — Dazayn McFadden, 24, of Atlantic City — was charged with operating a vehicle while suspended when he fatally struck Palema Thieman, according to police.
The accident occurred at approximately 8:54 p.m. Sunday in the area of Tilton Road and Hingston Avenue, police said. McFadden was traveling eastbound on Tilton Road when his 2015 Chevrolet Malibu hit Thieman, 53, of Egg Harbor. She was pronounced dead on the scene, according to police. Nobody else was injured, police said.
The area of Tilton Road and Hingston Avenue was shut down for about three hours while the crash scene was being investigated and cleared, police said. Anyone who may have witnessed the crash can contact the Egg Harbor Township Traffic Safety Unit at 609-926-2661.
