Taste of the Town

The Greater Egg Harbor City Chamber of Commerce International Taste of the Town slated for Sunday, April 29 will feature more than 14 local restaurants, including Assagio and Renault Winery.

International cuisines and top-notch entertainment will be on the menu.

The culinary extravaganza will be held at the Egg Harbor City Volunteer Ambulance Hall, 700 Philadelphia Ave., from 4-8 p.m.

Proceeds of the fundraiser will be used to purchase holiday lighting for the 300-block of Philadelphia Avenue, where the city recently completed a streetscape beautification project. The new lights will complement the existing snowflake lights purchased with donations made in the name of longtime chamber member Bruce Lehneis of Towne Paint, who passed away in 2005. The chamber will dedicate the new lights in his name during its 2012 Holiday Tree Lighting celebration in early December.
