Five Things You Need To Know About Galloway Township
This Saturday is the fifth Galloway Township Shredding Event.

1. The Galloway Elks Lodge #2845 will hold a clothing-for-food barbecue to benefit homeless veterans at its lodge, 120 South New York Road, on Sunday, May 27 at noon.
2. Galloway Township’s 2012 Movies in the Park series commences May 18, and continues on June 15, July 20, Aug. 17, Sept. 21 and Oct. 26. The free movie is scheduled to begin when it gets dark out. The movies are shown at Patriot Lake at the Galloway Municipal Complex at 300 East Jimmie Leeds Road. For information, call Galloway Community Services at 609-652-8657.
3. Galloway Township’s fifth Shredding Event takes place May 19 on the Eighth Avenue side of the municipal complex’s parking lot, from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. The event is for individuals only, and cost is $1 per box for Galloway residents with proof of residency, and $5 per box for all other Atlantic County residents. The event is sponsored by Go Green Galloway and the South Jersey Fair Trade Alliance. For information, contact Community Services at 609-652-8657.

4. Summer signups for Galloway PAL are ongoing. For information, visit GallowayPAL.org.
5. The GTAA is looking for volunteers to coach or assist with spring sports, including baseball, softball, soccer, volleyball, bowling and lacrosse. All volunteers must participate in Galloway’s Youth Protection Program, and they must be fingerprinted for a criminal background check. A Coach’s ID will be issued by Galloway Community Services.
