Four People Were Driving With Drugs, Guns, Unrestrained Kids in Car: Galloway Police

They were stopped on the White Horse Pike and 6th Avenue in Galloway Township Saturday morning.

Galloway, Township, NJ -- Four police were driving through Galloway Township with weapons, drugs and two unrestrained children in their car, Galloway Township Police said on Sunday.

Galloway Police Officer Daniel Weigle stopped the car while it was traveling on the White Horse Pike and 6th Avenue at about 10:29 a.m. Saturday, after noticing the four adults weren’t wearing their seatbelts and the children weren’t restrained.

Officers allege they found drug paraphernalia inside the car, and that it was accessible to the three young juvenile occupants.

K-9 Sgt Winneberger utilized K-9 Rocky to conduct a narcotic sniff of the vehicle, and K-9 Rocky provided a positive indication for the presence of narcotics, police said.

This led to a search of the vehicle.

As a result of the search, 24-year-old Derreck Robinson, of Galloway, was found to be in possession of two loaded handguns, police said.

He was charged with two counts unlawful possession of a handgun, possession of a handgun during a CDS offense, possession of CDS (Heroin), possession of CDS with intent to distribute, possession of drug paraphernalia, resisting arrest, obstruction and criminal mischief (kicking the window out of a patrol car).

Robinson was lodged in the Atlantic County Justice Facility in lieu of $250,000 bail.

Brandon Figaro, 22, of Egg Harbor City, was found in possession of six grams of pure heroin and 95 bags containing heroin on his person, police said.

He was charged with possession of CDS (heroin), possession of CDS (heroin) with the intent to distribute, possession of drug paraphernalia, refusing to surrender CDS, and hindering apprehension. Figaro was lodged in the Atlantic County Justice Facility in lieu of $250,000 bail.

Claria Barrigher, 24, of Atlantic City, was found in possession of Molly (MDMA), police said.

She was charged with possession of CDS (Molly), possession of drug paraphernalia and hindering apprehension. Barrigher was summonsed and released.

Jamar Alexander, 25, of Pleasantville, was charged hindering apprehension along with numerous motor vehicle summonses.

Alexander was lodged in the Atlantic County Justice Facility on unrelated warrants.

The juveniles in the car were turned over to other family members.
