Funeral Scheduled For Boy Shot At Pleasantville Football Game
Services for Micah Tennant will take place Saturday at New Shiloh Baptist Church in Atlantic City.

ATLANTIC CITY, NJ — A funeral has been scheduled for a boy who died after being shot at a Pleasantville High School football game. Services for Micah Tennant will take place at 11 a.m. Saturday at New Shiloh Baptist Church in Atlantic City.
Tennant, 10, died Wednesday — days after he was one of three people shot at a Nov. 15 high school football game, according to the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office. Charges against Alvin Wyatt were upgraded to murder following Tennant's death, the OCPO said.
A GoFundMe has been set up for Tennant's family. Tennant had a big personality, according to his mother, Angela.

"Never in a million years would I think this would be my life," Angela wrote on Facebook. "I’m happy my gmom raised me the way she did. It’s only by Gods Grace & Mercy that I’m standing tall for my boy!"

Governor Phil Murphy said he was devastated by the news of Tennant's death.
"No child deserves to have their promising life cut short, especially by indiscriminate and senseless gun violence," Murphy said in a statement. "No parent deserves to bury their child."
