The pursuit lasted an hour and ended in Haddon Heights, police said.
GALLOWAY, NJ — Galloway police had to chase a man for an hour while he was driving a stolen vehicle Monday afternoon, authorities said. The pursuit ended in Haddon Heights, a Philadelphia suburb nearly 50 miles away from Galloway.
Atlantic City police told Galloway authorities a stolen Nissan Sentra just left the city, traveling westbound on the White Horse Pike, officials said. Officer Mateusz Ryba found the vehicle on 6th Avenue while patrolling. Samone Cortez, the driver, failed to stop for officials, police said.
The pursuit traveled westbound on Route 30 before Cortez stopped. Cortez, of Philadelphia, was charged with eluding police and receiving stolen property, authorities said. Cortez was taken to the Atlantic County Justice Facility, police said.
