Galloway Man Charged In $23K Credit Card Scam: Prosecutor
Larry Gilliam Jr. was arrested this week in a scam where he and a woman stole personal information to make over $20K in transactions.

Galloway Township, NJ -- A Galloway Township man is one of two people charged with stealing the personal credit card information of more than 40 customers of a local bank, Acting Atlantic County Prosecutor Diane Ruberton said on Friday.
Police allege Larry Gilliam Jr., 38, and Kyesha Muhammad, 33, of Mays Landing, then used that information to make over $20,000 of unauthorized transactions.
They were charged with second-degree identity theft, third-degree theft by deception, third-degree credit card theft, third-degree fraudulent use of credit cards, third-degree money laundering and second-degree conspiracy to commit identity theft.

Police allege Muhammad used her position as a banker at the Wells Fargo Bank branch in Galloway Township to unlawfully obtain the credit card information of 42 customers.
She then gave that information to Gilliam Jr., and the two made fraudulent transactions on their credit cards, resulting in a net loss to Wells Fargo Bank of $23,605.25, police said.

An investigation by the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office Financial Crimes Unit, assisted by the Corporate Investigations Department of Wells Fargo and management of the Route 30 Pomona branch of the Wells Fargo Bank resulted in the execution of three search warrants on Aug. 23.
The raids were conducted by the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office, assisted by members of the Hamilton Township Police Department, the Galloway Township Police Department, and Atlantic County SWAT.
Muhammad was arrested the same day at her home without incident. She was transported to the Prosecutor’s Office for arrest processing, and lodged in the Atlantic County Justice Facility on $100,000 cash bail.
Muhammad was subsequently released on bail, and remains free pending court.
Gilliam Jr. was located this week in custody in another state on an unrelated matter, and was extradited to New Jersey. He was lodged in the Atlantic County Justice facility where he was served with his complaints Friday morning.
Gilliam is detained in the Atlantic County Justice Facility on $100,000 cash bail.
