Galloway Man Sentenced For Dealing Drugs, Eluding Cops
Cops found a loaded gun in the glove compartment of Halim Fisher's car after he was caught dealing cocaine in Atlantic City, officials said.
GALLOWAY, NJ — A Galloway man was sentenced to state prison for three separate incidents involving drug possession, unlawful handgun possession and eluding police, the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office announced Monday.
Halim Fisher, 26, was sentenced to an aggregate term of six years in New Jersey State Prison with 42 months of parole ineligibility, authorities said.
On Dec. 21, 2022, Fisher was taken into custody on the 1700 block of Atlantic Avenue in Atlantic City after he and a juvenile were seen distributing crack cocaine to a man inside of a convenience store, authorities said.

When police arrived, Fisher was found with a narcotics scale and Ford car keys on him, officials said. A search of the juvenile recovered crack cocaine, according to authorities.
Police found a Ford Fusion and surveillance footage showed Fisher parking it near where he was arrested, authorities said. After a search warrant, police found a loaded handgun in the car's glove compartment, and DNA testing confirmed that it had Fisher's DNA, officials said.

Fisher was also sentenced on two separate and unrelated indictments charging him with eluding police during an attempted motor vehicle stop in Hamilton Township on June 2, 2023, and to possessing cocaine with the intent to distribute it on the 1700 block of Atlantic Avenue in Atlantic City on Nov. 23, 2022.
