Galloway Men Sentenced for 2014 Armed Robbery of Teens
Detectives say John Harvey Jr. lured two teens down a walking path, and pretended to be robbed along with them.

Two Galloway Township men were sentenced to prison for the 2014 armed robbery of two teenagers, Atlantic County Prosecutor Jim McClain said on Monday.
Abdul L. Parker, 43, and John D. Harvey Jr., then 21, each previously pleaded guilty to robbery and conspiracy to commit robbery.
On Feb. 21, 2014, shortly after 11 p.m., two teenagers reported that they were walking with Harvey on a path near Colonial Court when they were robbed at gunpoint. The robber took their cash and electronics, and took a bag containing a laptop and digital camera from Harvey.

A subsequent investigation led detectives to believe that Harvey was in on the robbery. Detectives said he lured the two teens down that walking path by telling them they were going to meet a person who would sell them marijuana. During the robbery, Harvey pretended he was also being robbed.
Harvey was arrested on March 7 following a two-week investigation by Galloway Township Police. Parker was arrested the following day. They were indicted on May 13, 2014.
