Galloway Police Investigating Threat at Absegami High School

The threat was directed at a particular student on Friday.

The Galloway Township Police Department is investigating a threat that was made at Absegami High School on Friday.

Police reported to the school during dismissal after receiving information of a possible threat to a student at the school. The threat was isolated to a particular student and was unrelated to any school function, police said.

Upon arrival, police learned the person who allegedly made the threat was at his home and not on school grounds.

Police didn’t provide the identities of the person who made the threat or the person who was threatened.

Galloway Police worked in conjunction with the Greater Egg Harbor Regional School District, Absegami High School staff, students, the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office and the Absecon Police Department in this incident.
