Galloway Woman Among 2 Killed In Motorcycle Crash: Police

PITTSGROVE TOWNSHIP, N.J. — A woman from Galloway and a man were killed in a late-night crash Saturday on Route 40 in Salem County, state police said. Katie Toole, 35, was a passenger in the fatal accident.

Toole and James Pitts, 32, of Clayton, were on a motorcycle in Pittsgrove Township just before midnight when their vehicle collided with an SUV driven by an unnamed 66-year-old Pitman woman, police said.

Toole died on the scene. Potts was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said.

The crash remains under investigation. The roads were dry and clear during the collision, according to police.
