Galloway Woman Charged With Driving With Narcotics and Child in Car

Verna Watkins was charged after reports that she was driving erratically Monday night.

A Galloway woman was charged after she was found in possession of cocaine and heroin while driving with a small child in her car Monday night.

Verna Watkins, 48, was charged with the following offenses:

Possession of CDS

Driving While Intoxicated

Watkins was lodged in Atlantic County Justice Facility on $100,000 cash bail, Galloway Police said Wednesday morning.

Galloway Police received a 9-1-1 call regarding an erratic driver in the area of Route 30 and Cologne Avenue on Monday night at 9:14 p.m.

An officer was in the area and pulled Watkins car over while she was on Route 30 west.

Galloway Police were assisted in their investigation by officers from Stockton College and Hamilton Township.
