Heroin Seized During Drug Raid In Galloway Township: Police

One person was arrested in the search, police said Saturday morning.

GALLOWAY TOWNSHIP, NJ — One man was arrested, and heroin and money was seized after police executed a search warrant on Hayes Avenue in Galloway Township on Friday, according to police.

Abdul AAbid, 23, of Atlantic City, was charged with possession of heroin, distribution of heroin, resisting arrest, obstruction, and tampering with evidence, Galloway Township police said Saturday morning. He was lodged in Atlantic County Jail.

He was arrested following the search on Friday, May 26, which was conducted by members of the Galloway Township Police Department, assisted by an Absecon Police Detective and an Egg Harbor Township Police K9 Officer. The search warrant was the result of an investigation into the distribution of narcotics from the residence.
