Ceremonies included the dedication of a new flag pole and a legislative commendation from Assemblyman Bob Andrezejczak (D-1st)

Holy Redeemer HomeCare and Hospice in Swainton, NJ, recently sponsored a Veterans Dinner to honor local men and women who served in our nation’s armed forces.

The ceremonies included the dedication of a new flag pole at Holy Redeemer Hospice. Members of the Disabled Veterans Cape May County Chapter 44, represented by 92-year-old Vince Pale, a World War II veteran and 82-yar-old Stanley Crowley, a Korean War Veteran, raised the American flag to cap off the ceremony.

As part of the evening’s activities, Assemblyman Bob Andrezejczak (1st District) presented a Joint Legislative Commendation to honor and congratulate Holy Redeemer Home Care and Hospice for its part in hosting the Inaugural Veterans Dinner and Flag Pole Dedication.

In addition, a group of preschoolers from the Children’s Country Place in Seaville, under the guidance of their eacher, Cecelia Quigley, made gifts that they presented to the veterans, sang the national anthem and led the pledge of allegiance as part of the Flag Pole Ceremony. Ms. Quigley’s father, Angelo Sparagna, a World War II, veteran, was present at the evening’s ceremonies.

“This was a perfect day to hold this wonderful event. The weather was perfect. The children were enthralled and the veterans were so appreciative. It was a very touching, very humbling experience,” said Madeline Giordano-Bauer, Holy Redeemer Nurse Liaison for Cape May County.
