Local Area Children give Nursing Home Residents A Valentines Day Treat!

On Saturday February 13, Local area kids participating in a Positive Youth Development program called Peer Challenge visited the residents of Absecon Manor nursing home for Valentine’s Day as part of a community service project.

Peer Challenge’s Positive Youth Development program is designed to empower youth to avoid high risk behaviors and become contributing members of society through a series of character based lessons, life building skills activities and community service projects.

While visiting Absecon Manor, the residents had fun bonding with the children through a few games of Bingo followed by cookies and refreshments.
