Four Earth Tones basis for Artists of Classic and Hellenistic Greece.

Local artist Victoria Papale was introduced to the technique of painting exclusively in four earth tones during her studies at the Aegean Center for Fine Arts in Paros, Greece.

On Sunday afternoon, January 25 at 4.30pm, at the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, Winter Food Feast, Victoria will present a short lecture on this ancient method, known in Greek as Tetrachromy, and invites our guests to discover how it was used by the fascinating artists of those times. She will also bring some of her art work to help explain the application, inspiration and motivation of her paintings.
