Man Arrested With Loaded Guns, Drugs In Galloway Township: Police

An Atlantic City man was arrested following a traffic stop on Monday.

GALLOWAY TOWNSHIP, NJ — An Atlantic City man was arrested after police say they found him in possession of two loaded guns, heroin and marijuana in Galloway Township.

Yahcor Napper, 28, of Atlantic City, was charged with possession of a handgun, possession of an assault rifle, possession of a high capacity magazine, possession of a firearm for unlawful purpose, possession of controlled dangerous substance (CDS), distribution of CDS, possession of a firearm while committing a CDS offence, possession of marijuana under 50 grams, careless driving, unsafe lane change, suspended driver, and possession of CDS in a motor vehicle, Galloway Township Police said on Tuesday.

Police stopped his car on Route 30 near the intersection with 8th Avenue at about 3:40 p.m. Monday afternoon. Police said an initial investigation revealed Napper was in possession of marijuana.

Further investigation revealed he was in possession of a loaded Tauras .38 Special revolver, an Extar .556 caliber Semi-Automatic Assault Rifle with fully loaded extended capacity 30 round magazine, and a package of suspected raw heroin weighing over 5 ounces, police said.

Napper was arrested, charged and lodged in Atlantic County Jail.

Pleasantville Police assisted in the investigation.
