Jeep Driver Dead After Crashing Into Box Truck At Jersey Shore, Police Say
The Egg Harbor Township man's Jeep crashed head-on into the box truck, police said.
EGG HARBOR TWP., NJ — An Egg Harbor Township man was killed in a collision between a SUV and box truck Wednesday, police said.
It was shortly before 3 p.m. when police responded to the 1700 block of Somers Point Mays Landing Road for the report of a collision, police said.
A 2019 Freightliner box truck driven by a 46-year-old Paulsboro man was stopped in traffic to unload building material and reverse down a long residential driveway, police said.

A 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee, driven by 64-year-old Isaac Wogansky, crashed head-on into the stopped box truck, police said.
According to witnesses, traffic was slowing in both directions and waiting for the box truck to reverse down the driveway.

Wogansky, driving west, was unable to stop in time, police said. This caused the Jeep to leave the roadway to the right, drive on the dirt shoulder, re- enter the roadway, and crash head-on into the front of the box truck, police said.
Wogansky was critically injured and was treated on the scene before being taken to the hospital, police said. He died from his injuries there, police said.
This crash is being investigated by Sgt. Ed Stearns, Officers Bob Moran, Tom Rizzotte and Kevin Brady of the Egg Harbor Twp Traffic Safety Unit. Anyone who witnessed the crash is asked to call the Egg Harbor Twp Police Department at 609-926-4021.
