Man Hospitalized After Car Hits Pole in Galloway

Algie Griffin, 31, was flown to the hospital Tuesday afternoon.

A Landisville man was hospitalized after his car hit a pole and overturned on Duerer Street Tuesday afternoon, Galloway Police said.

Algie Griffin, 31, was driving a 2000 Chrysler Sebring Convertible west on Duerer Street when he left the road and hit the pole around 3:46 p.m. Tuesday. He was flown to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center City Division to be treated for his injuries.

No one else was in the car with him at the time of the accident.

The road was closed for two hours while it was cleared.

The Galloway Township Ambulance Squad, AtlantiCare Medics, Germania Volunteer Fire Company and Penn-Star Medivac responded to the scene.

Charges are pending further investigation.
