Man Met With Girl, 13, For Sex In Atlantic City: Police

During the investigation, police said they learned 21-year-old Javier Erazo was suspected of molesting an 11-year-old girl when he was 16.

ATLANTIC CITY, NJ — A Pleasantville man was charged after trying to meet up with a 13-year-old girl for sex and then revealing he was suspected of touching a different 11-year-old girl when he was younger, Atlantic City police said.

Javier Erazo, 21, was charged with attempting to lure or entice a juvenile, sexual assault and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child, police said.

On June 22, at 2:28 p.m., police went to Kingston and Sunset avenues for reports of a 13-year-old meeting up with Erazo.

Police spoke with the two about their relationship, and they shared they had recently met on social media, according to a news release.

Special Victims Unit detectives began an investigation and found that Erazo was aware of the girl's age and that he wanted to engage in a sexual relationship with her, police said. He was placed in custody.

Detectives also learned of another investigation where Erazo was suspected of "inappropriately touching" an 11-year-old girl when he was 16, police said.

Additionally, while being interviewed, "Erazo made incriminating statements leading to being criminally charged in that case as well," police said.

Erazo now sits in the Atlantic County Justice Facility.
