Man Shot, Killed Girlfriend In Their Atlantic Co. Home: Prosecutor
Kevin Dorsey, 51, admitted to police that he killed his girlfriend, 44-year-old Charlena Burnett, authorities said.
EGG HARBOR TWP., NJ — An Egg Harbor Township man is accused of shooting and killing his girlfriend in their shared home, authorities said.
Kevin Dorsey, 51, is charged with murder in the death of his girlfriend, 44-year-old Charlena Burnett.
A shooting was reported on the 300 block of Zion Road Thursday night and police arrived at the house at about 7:30 p.m., the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office said.

Burnett was found inside the house with "multiple gunshot wounds," officials said. The couple lived in the house together.
Dorsey admitted to the killing when police arrived, authorities said.

Along with the murder charge, Dorsey was also charged with unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a weapon without a permit to carry and possession of a weapon by a certain person.
He was taken to the Atlantic County Justice Facility where he remains pending a court appearance.
