Good Samaritan Struck, Killed In Galloway: Police
Two men stopped to help a woman and her son when they were hit by a car early Friday morning, according to NBC 10.

GALLOWAY TOWNSHIP, NJ — One person was killed after being struck by a car while trying to move a disabled vehicle early in Galloway Township early Friday morning, according to police.
Kenneth Chivalette, 52 of Galloway, was pronounced deceased on the scene after being hit by a Honda Civic on Pomona Road in the area of Vera King Ferris Drive at about 4:30 a.m. on Oct. 27, the Galloway Township Police Department announced Friday morning.
Chivalette was one of two people who were hit while trying to push a disabled vehicle to the side of the road, police said. Brandon Pilecki 24 of Howell, was also hit in the accident, but suffered minor injuries. The driver, who was heading south at the time of the accident, also hit the disabled vehicle.

Chivalette and Pilecki were on their way to work when they stopped to help a woman and her son with the broken down car, according to NBC 10.
No charges have yet been filed against the driver of the car, who was identified as 28-year-old Steve Carides Jr., of Egg Harbor Township. The accident remains under investigation. The Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office, Southern Regional Medical Center, and the Pomona Fire Department also responded to the scene.
