Man Threatens To Shoot Himself, Girlfriend In Atlantic City Motel: Police
The 75-year-old Missouri man had a loaded gun on him when he threatened to shoot himself and the woman he was dating, police said.
ATLANTIC CITY, NJ — A 75-year-old Missouri man with a loaded gun threatened to shoot himself and his girlfriend during an argument at an Atlantic City motel, police said.
Police went to the beach block of Iowa Avenue at about 9:30 p.m. on Aug. 17 for a domestic dispute at a motel, according to a news release.
James Pace, of Blue Springs, MO, was arguing with a woman he was dating when he threatened to shoot and kill her and himself, police said. He had a loaded gun on him at the time, according to police.

Pace was taken into custody without incident, police said, and a loaded handgun was recovered at the scene along with additional ammo.
He was taken to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center City Division for evaluation, police said. Pace was charged with possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose and terroristic threats.
