Man Threw Cats On The Ground In Atlantic City, Police Say
Video showed Ericxon Santos, 18, on two occasions tossing cats into the air and sending them crashing to the ground, according to police.
ATLANTIC CITY, NJ — An Atlantic City man was charged with two counts of animal cruelty after videos showed him throwing cats in the air and sending them crashing to the ground, according to a news release.
Police say they received a report from a citizen on Dec. 1, 2024 via tip411, the department's anonymous texting service, regarding an animal cruelty incident that happened on the 200 block of north Chelsea Avenue.
The report included a video that showed several people walking down the street. One man was seen picking up a cat and throwing it into the air, sending it crashing to the ground, police said.

The department's humane law enforcement officer immediately launched an investigation, trying to find the injured or possibly dead cat. He was unable to, police said. However, he did find another video of the same person throwing a different cat into the air on a different date, officials said.
He was identified as Ericxon Santos, 18, and charged with animal cruelty.

Santos was issued a summons with a future court date.
