Man Wanted In Galloway Stabbing Incident: Police

GALLOWAY, NJ — Police are seeking the public's assistance in locating a Galloway man accused of stabbing another multiple times near a local motel.
If seen, Charles D. Cook III should not be approached as he is considered armed and dangerous, police said.
Galloway police responded to Atlanticare Regional Medical Center Mainland Division Emergency Room on Dec. 12 for reports of a patient with multiple stab wounds, according to a news release.

The patient, a 48-year-old Galloway man, told police he was heading to meet with an acquaintance at a local motel.
On his way there, an unknown man appeared from the woods, approached the victim, brandished a knife and demanded money, police said.

A physical altercation ensued, where the victim was stabbed in the face and in the arm, police said.
Through investigation, including a crime scene forensic investigation, police were able to positively identify Cook as the suspect.
A warrant was issued for Cook's arrest, including charges for robbery, aggravated assault and weapons offenses.
