Man Arrested After Armed Robbery At N.J. Rest Area On Atlantic City Expressway

Police arrested a man who apparently held up a rest area with a gun, and then fled.

Police say they have arrested a man who apparently held up a rest area in New Jersey with a gun on Sunday, and then fled.

Marquan Pitts, 24, of Philadelphia was arrested after stealing $37 worth of gas and fleeing to his hometown, police said.

Pitts, who was driving a Dodge Challenger with the Pennsylvania license plate number KJX-3255, fled westbound Sunday afternoon after robbing the Farley Plaza on the Atlantic City Expressway, police said.

The man apparently displayed a handgun and stole gas. If anyone has information, call the State Police at 609-882-2000.
