Mays Landing Man Found With 5 Ounces Of Cocaine: Police

Authorities found a Mays Landing man with several drugs, including nearly a third of a pound of cocaine in his vehicle Friday afternoon in Egg Harbor Township, police announced Tuesday. Samuel Jean possessed 5.3 ounces of cocaine and two grams of marijuana when he was stopped on Tilton Road in the area of Boardwalk Honda, according to the EHTPD.

Officer Ben Kollman stopped Jean, 36, after several traffic violations and then searched his vehicle, the EHTPD said. Officials seized Jean's vehicle and $920 in cash, police said.

Jean was also charged with failure to surrender to law enforcement and traffic offenses, according to the EHTPD. Officials took Jean to the Atlantic County Justice Facility on a warrant, police said.
