A murder-suicide involving a man and a woman was reported in New Jersey.

Investigators were probing a murder-suicide involving a man and a woman this week in South Jersey.

The investigation involved a man and a woman in Linwood, Atlantic County Prosecutor Damon G. Tyner announced on Saturday.

On Wednesday, Linwood Police and the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office were notified that a man and woman were found dead in their home in Linwood.

This is an active investigation and no other information will be released at this time, according to the ACPO.

The Press of Atlantic City identified the slain couple were as Edward and Pamela Rock who lived on Forest Drive in Linwood.

One neighbor said the couple lived in their home since the 1980s and guessed they were in their 60s, though they did not socialize locally, according to the report. "I never saw or heard any problems," a neighbor who did not reveal their name told the publication.

The neighbor said they have an adult son who lives in Europe and an adult daughter who lives in Atlantic County and visited on Wednesdays, according to the report. They were educated, extremely private people who kept to themselves, and another neighbor who has lived on the block for 15 years said he believed the man retired from working for Atlantic County.
