Emergency crews performed CPR on the woman, who came to the U.S. a few weeks ago from Pakistan. She was transported to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, City Division, according to the report.

The woman's sister was also hospitalized with a broken leg. Lifeguards had gone off duty minutes before a 911 call was placed, and a severe thunderstorm approaching the area made the rescue more challenging for emergency responders, according to nj.com.
