NJ Man Admits Beating Pregnant Girlfriend To Death With Baseball Bat

Boris Lainez-Rosales faces 30 years in prison, authorities said.

PLEASANTVILLE, NJ — A South Jersey man admitted to beating his pregnant girlfriend to death with a baseball bat, the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office announced.

Boris Lainez-Rosales, 28, pleaded guilty to one count of first degree murder in connection with the death of Leslianette Quintana-Betancourt, 25.

Lainez-Rosales admitted that on Dec. 2, 2024, he assaulted Quintana-Betancourt, his pregnant domestic partner, with a bat at their Pleasantville home, killing her.

He faces 30 years in New Jersey State Prison without the possibility of parole.

Lainez-Rosales is set to be sentenced on July 31, 2026.
