The investigation began in May 2025 after members of the Atlantic County Department of Public Works alerted law enforcement to irregularities in diesel fuel logs. According to the prosecutor’s office, investigators found that since March 2023, Jenkins-Ridley had directed employees at Z5 Logistics to fuel the trucks almost daily at county pumps.
The total amount of fuel stolen was listed as just under $80,000, according to the prosecutor’s office. The indictment charges Jenkins-Ridley with second-degree official misconduct, theft and conspiracy in connection with that alleged activity.
