2 Suspicious Deaths On New Year's Day Under Investigation In Atlantic City

ATLANTIC CITY, NJ — Officials are investigating the deaths of two men in Atlantic City, who were found about 90 minutes apart the morning of New Year's Day.

According to the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office, police got a call about a man bleeding on South California Avenue at about 6:15 a.m. on Jan. 1. First responders transported the wounded man, later identified as 50-year-old Vincent O'Brien, to the Atlantic City Regional Medical Center where he died from his injuries.

Then at approximately 7:34 a.m., police responded to a 911 call at Michigan Avenue and the boardwalk about a male with multiple stab wounds. The victim, identified as 22-year-old Nazir Cintron, was pronounced dead at the scene.
"These incidents are not thought to be connected at the early stages of both investigations," officials said Tuesday.
