One Hospitalized Following Accident Between Car and Concrete Truck in Galloway

Kathleen Bloom was hospitalized with apparent non-life threatening injuries Friday night.

One person was hospitalized following an accident involving a car and a concrete truck on the White Horse Pike near the intersection of 6th Avenue Friday evening, Galloway Police said.

A 2005 Hyundai Sonata, driven by Kathleen Bloom, crashed into the rear of a Clayton Block Company concrete truck that was stopped at a red light around 5:09 p.m.

Bloom was treated on scene by Atlanticare BLS, ALS, and Hamilton Township EMS personnel. She was then transported to Atlanticare Regional Medical Center Mainland Division for apparent non-life threatening injuries.

The concrete truck sustained minor damage while the front end of the Hyundai Sonata was pinned underneath the concrete truck with significant damage. Specialty equipment had to be called to the scene to separate the two vehicles.
