Over 100 In Atlantic County Have Died Of Coronavirus
Officials reported Atlantic County's first coronavirus death April 2.
ATLANTIC COUNTY, NJ — Atlantic County's reported coronavirus death toll exceeded 100 Thursday, according to officials. The County announced eight additional deaths Thursday, including two elderly men from Galloway.
Seven of the eight people who died were residents of longterm-care facilities. Thursday's fatalities included three Hammonton residents (men ages 62 and 76 and a 58-year-old woman), two men from Galloway (ages 87 and 93), two Northfield men (ages 67 and 94) and a 68-year-old Pleasantville man. All had preexisting health conditions, county officials said.
The virus has killed 104 people in Atlantic County. Officials reported the county's first death April 2.

The County announced 64 more coronavirus cases Thursday, bringing the total to 1,666. Thirty-six residents were cleared as recovered, bringing the county total to 447.

Twelve cases were confirmed Thursday in Hammonton; 10 each in Galloway and Pleasantville; seven each in Atlantic City and Egg Harbor Township; four in Absecon; three each in Hamilton Township and Ventnor; two each in Buena Vista and Linwood; and one in Egg Harbor City, Margate, Northfield and Somers Point.
