Parts Of Galloway Among The Fastest Growing In New Jersey

GALLOWAY, NJ — Noticed a lot of new neighbors recently? Two parts of Galloway are apparently among the fastest-growing cities in New Jersey, according to data analyzed by HomeSnacks.

HomeSnacks, a website dedicated to analyzing data to share information about towns across the country, recently put together a list of the "10 Fastest Growing Cities in New Jersey for 2024."

After checking out census data and ranking all 264 New Jersey municipalities with a population of more than 5,000, the website determined that the fifth and sixth fastest-growing municipalities are Pomona and Smithville, respectively.

Pomona, with a population of 8,878, has grown by 67.1 percent since the 2010 census, according to data.

Meanwhile, Smithville (population 9,135) has grown by 51.1 percent since the 2010 census, per data.

Galloway as a whole has a population of 37,813, according to the 2020 census.

Another Atlantic County town is the fourth fastest-growing: Mays Landing, with a population of 6,183, according to HomeSnacks.

Interestingly, the three cities that have been growing the slowest are all in Atlantic County, too. According to HomeSnacks and in descending order, these are: Brigantine, Margate City and Ventnor City.
