Pedestrian Killed After Being Hit by Car in Galloway

An unidentified pedestrian was killed while walking on Route 30 Monday afternoon, according to Galloway Township Police.

Steven Mills, 46, of Pleasantville, was driving a 2006 Nissan Altima east on Route 30 around 4:32 p.m. when he hit the pedestrian, whose identity is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.

The pedestrian was pronounced dead on the scene.

The road was closed for about three hours while responding emergency responders cleared the scene.
