Pedestrian Struck, Killed In Atlantic City: Police
The pedestrian, who has not been identified, was killed after being struck by a car late Wednesday night.
ATLANTIC CITY, NJ — The pedestrian who was struck in Atlantic City Wednesday night was killed, according to Atlantic City police.
The pedestrian was struck by at least one vehicle while crossing Route 40 eastbound, police said. The unidentified man was given CPR by Officers Danny Rodriguez and Ivaylo Penchev, who were off-duty and reporting for their shift, police said. He was taken to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, City Division and pronounced dead.
An initial investigation revealed that the pedestrian was struck by at least one vehicle, and it is currently being investigated whether there was another vehicle that fled the scene, police said. The driver, Laquay Reynolds, 23 of Atlantic City, stopped and remained on scene, police said.
