Woman Struck, Killed While Crossing South Jersey Highway: Police
The 73-year-old woman was struck while attempting to cross Black Horse Pike on the evening of Oct. 2, police said.
EGG HARBOR TWP., NJ — A 73-year-old woman was struck and killed while trying to cross the Black Horse Pike, Egg Harbor Township police said.
The crash occurred at about 7:24 p.m. on Oct. 2, police said in a news release.
A 26-year-old Pleasantville woman driving a 2021 Dodge Durango was heading west on the Black Horse Pike, police said. The Durango struck Aimee Altin in the westbound lanes, police said.

Altin suffered significant trauma and was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
The driver immediately called 911 and cooperated with the investigation, police said.

The crash is being investigated by Sergeant Edward Stearns, Officer Thomas Rizzotte and Officer Cody Ng of the EHT Police Traffic Safety Unit. Traffic was detoured in the
area for about four hours while the scene was being investigated and cleared.
