Philadelphia Man Indicted in Atlantic City Drug Conspiracy
Eduardo Colon-Lopez was arrested in the Deptford Mall parking lot after allegedly selling cocaine to an undercover cop.

A Philadelphia man has been indicted for allegedly distributing a kilogram of cocaine to an undercover officer at the Deptford Mall as part of a conspiracy to distribute cocaine in Atlantic City.
Eduardo Colon-Lopez, 36, was indicted on charges of first-degree distribution of cocaine, second-degree conspiracy to distribute cocaine, and third-degree possession of cocaine, Acting Attorney General John J. Hoffman said on Wednesday.
He was captured by investigators from state, county and municipal agencies assigned to the Atlantic City Task Force (ACTF) in the Deptford Mall parking lot on Sept. 20 of last year.

An undercover New Jersey State Police trooper had ingratiated himself to Colon-Lopez, known to investigators as “Papito” over the course of several weeks.
The undercover officer convinced Colon-Lopez to sell him cocaine for $40,000. The alleged sale was to take place in Atlantic City, but was changed to the Deptford Mall at the last minute, according to investigators.

Colon-Lopez allegedly delivered a black duffel bag containing a plastic-wrapped kilo brick of cocaine to the undercover officer.
The apprehension was part of an ongoing investigation into an alleged conspiracy to distribute bulk quantities of cocaine in Atlantic City.
Colon-Lopez remains in Atlantic County Jail on $250,000 bail.
