Pine Shores Art Association Spring Show is Here!

PSAA's annual Spring awards show at the gallery at 94 Stafford Ave Manahawkin during the month of May. 60+ works, free public viewing

A crowd of nearly 100 artists and friends gathered for the Awards ceremony. Guest Judge Tim Gaydos chose Ray Moran's Piazza, as Best in Show and winner of a $100 prize. There were also four $50 cash prizes and Merit Ribbons awarded to Linda Coulter for her pastel portrait,The Wonder of Bubbles; Ed Renner for his gouache, A Time Past; Janet Nelson'swhimsical acrylic, A Colorfowl Gathering; and Pat Shepherd's collage, Hope and Change.Four additional Merit awards with $25 cash prizes were given for Jennifer LaVeglio's colored pencil drawing,Rediscovered Trust; Nancy Camilleri's pastel portrait,Study in Red; Danny Ng's acrylic, At Dawn; and Robert Novak's Adirondack Summer.

In addition to the judging by Mr. Gaydos, there were four special awards given. The Franken Frames Award and a $100 gift certificate went to Jan Becker for gouache,Sedona. The Tom Rutledge Award for Realism and $100 prize was given to Lisa Budd for her oil painting, Evening in Philly. The Pat Shepherd Award for Abstract Art and $100 prize went to Lois Mullen for her mixed media collage, Capture of the Muse. The final prize was the Artists' Choice award and $25 prize chosen by the PSAA members, which went to Nancy Edwards's watercolor of pelicans, Love at First Site.
