Piscataway Man Tied Victim Up With Duct Tape, Stole $250 In Galloway Armed Robbery: Police

GALLOWAY TOWNSHIP, NJ — A 23-year-old Piscataway man stands accused of stealing $250 from a person he tied up with duct tape at the Highlander Motel in Galloway Township.

Joshua Holmes was charged with four robbery, criminal restraint, possession of a weapon and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, Galloway Township Police said on Friday.

On Dec. 12, Galloway Police were dispatched to the Highlander Motel, located at 304 East White Horse Pike, for the report of an armed robbery.

Police discovered that the victim had been bound with duct tape and held at gunpoint in a motel room before being robbed of $250.

The suspect, later identified as Holmes, fled east on the White Horse Pike. With the assistance of Piscataway Police, Holmes was arrested on Dec. 29, while in possession of a gun.

Assisting in the investigation was D/Sgt. Ryan Goehringer and Ptl. Christian Magazzu of the Galloway Township Police Department.

Holmes was remanded to the Atlantic County Justice Facility in default of $250,000 full cash bail.
