Police: Man Left 3-Year-Old Alone in Car To Go Do Heroin

Troy Bowser was charged with endangering the welfare of a child and possession of heroin.

A 26-year-old Galloway allegedly left a 3-year-old girl he was babysitting alone in a car for three hours while he did heroin, Galloway Police said Monday afternoon.

Galloway Police reported to the 200 block of Leipzig Avenue on Friday for reports of a child left unattended in a car. Police quickly located Bowser, who appeared to be under the influence of narcotics and was incoherent.

Bowser was supposed to be babysitting the child who he left in the car for approximately three hours, the child’s parents told police.Β 

The child was not injured and was turned over to family who transported her to the hospital for a medical evaluation.

Bowser was lodged in the Atlantic County Justice Facility in lieu of $100,000 bail.Β  The New Jersey Division of Youth and Family Services is also assisting
