President of American Atheists will Discuss and Sign New Book, “Fighting God”

GALLOWAY—David Silverman, president of American Atheists and a frequent commentator in national media, will discuss and sign his new book, “Fighting God: An Atheist Manifesto for a Religious World,” at 4:30 p.m. on January 24th at the UU Center, 75 S. Pomona Road at the corner of Liebig Street. Books will be for sale at the event, which is free and open to the public.

Nicknamed “Mr. Atheist Pants” by Stephen Colbert, Silverman has appeared on most major news programs including The O’Reilly Factor, The Real Story with Gretchen Carlson, Ronan Farrow Daily, Scarborough Country, CNN’s Paula Zahn NOW, Hannity and Colmes, FOX and Friends, and NPR’s All Things Considered. Kirkus Reviews says that “Fighting God” is a “manifesto to recruit ‘closeted atheists’ to become firebrand activists.”
