Assault and harassment complaints were signed against the NJ mayor and councilman, according to reports.

Assault and harassment complaints were signed against a New Jersey mayor and councilman as prosecutors confirmed they're an investigaing an "an incident" that happened this weekend in Atlantic City, according to reports.
Atlantic City Mayor Frank Gilliam, Councilman Jeffree Fauntleroy II and three others were involved in the incident Sunday at the Golden Nugget Hotel & Casino, according to the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office.
The matter is currently being reviewed by the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office. "We have no further comment at this time,” Atlantic County First Assistant Prosecutor Cary Shill said.

Both Gilliam and Fauntleroy told The Press of Atlantic City they were at the casino's Haven Nightclub, but Fauntleroy said there was a "loud argument" but nothing more.
Fauntleroy said he was made aware of a complaint signed against himself and the mayor Sunday morning after he was sent a text message with a picture of the document from a reporter, according to The Press. The signed complaints include allegations of simple assault and harassment.

"It's kind of just mind boggling from a verbal argument now being complaints signed," Fauntleroy told the publication. "I don't really understand. But it's politics. Everything is blown out of proportion in Atlantic City."
