Resident Michael Greb Announces Write-In Campaign for Galloway School Board
Michael Greb announced his write-in candidacy for the Nov. 4 elections.

The following announcement was issued by Galloway Township resident Michael Greb Monday morning:
Iβm writing to announce that Iβm mounting a write-in campaign for Galloway Township Board of Education.
I was saddened to see George Schwenger chose not to run for reelection this year after many years of service to both the tax payers and students of Galloway Township.

I am a parent of two children in the Galloway Township Public School District, a five year old in kindergarten and a ten year old in fourth grade both at Reeds Road Elementary.
I grew up in Oklahoma and moved to South New Jersey 7 years ago for a job. Two and a half years ago when my wife and I were buying our first house we chose Galloway Township as the place to raise our kids in large part for the school system. We drove our real estate agent crazy with our insistence on finding a house in Galloway every time she found something exactly like what we wanted in a neighboring town.
I attended my first school board meeting within the first two months of moving here to speak to the board about a minor issue. What I saw when I got there surprised me. I was the only parent in the room! My issue was settled but Iβve made it a habit of attending most every school board meeting since then because it is important that parents be aware of actions taken and issues discussed by the school board responsible for our childrenβs education.
I didnβt file to run in this election because I was starting a new job and wasnβt sure Iβd have the time necessary to truly serve the people of Galloway Township as best I could. Part of me also didnβt want to move to the other side of the room knowing I was the only parent in the audience and if I was on the board, weβd be back to no parents regularly attending School Board of Education meetings. I now know that not only do I have the time to dedicate, my new employer is encouraging of this endeavor.
Iβm asking two things of the people of Galloway Township. First, write me in, βMichael Grebβ for Galloway Township Board of Education on November 4th. If you arenβt sure how to do this, you can ask for assistance while voting.
Second, please make an effort to attend a board of education meeting yourself. You donβt have to try to come to every one like I did but once in a while come out and share your opinions with the people making decisions affecting your kidβs future.
